The purpose of Striding Forwards

Striding Forwards has been setup by Dean Coombes. Dean setup this project after receiving news 3 of his friends took their own lives at a very young age. This moved Dean to help people away from suicidal thoughts. Dean has also had to battle with suicidal thoughts for a great portion of his life and has overcome and wants to help others, so he has given up his career to make the difference.

Striding Forwards is here to help people with their mental health in the area of anxiety, to challenge the stigma that surrounds mental health through our anti-stigma presentations, to offer peer support, but above all to help people feel better, to inspire them to greater mental health that will improve their confidence and quality of life.

Everyone has the right to good mental health whoever they are. We are here to journey with people who are looking to reduce their anxiety and increase confidence levels. Our passion is to see both local people and people in communities across Wales, the UK and beyond achieve greater mental health that will help lead them to a better quality of life.


We deliver an anxiety and depression workshop that can help people

Dean has designed a workshop called "Understanding Anxiety, the Conscious and Un-Conscious Mind" and it has already proven affective in reducing peoples anxiety levels and increasing peoples confidence.
